Welcome to my website!
I am Maitê Mückler, a Brazilian astrophysicist and statistician. I am currently pursuing my PhD at the Department of Astronomy at the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul.
My research interests focus on understanding how galaxies that currently reside in groups and clusters formed and evolved. In my current project, I aim to characterise the statistical relationships between the individual properties of tens of thousands of galaxies and their morphology and star formation activity.
On this website, you will find content related to my academic research, discussions on statistics and its applications, as well as lectures and tutorials prepared by me. My intention is for this space to function as a research diary, where I share insights and reflections from my ongoing research journey. Naturally, the coolest stuff are reserved for the papers ;)
As for your browsing experience: the site is not yet fully optimised for mobile viewing (sorry!), but this is on my ever-growing to-do list. Some pages may be quite image-heavy, as I enjoy adding lots of little trinkets :) While I do my best to keep loading times reasonable, this website is still very much a work in progress. In any case, thank you for stopping by!
